THE ROAD HERe

I was born and raised in Norway, where I grew up moving between two very different worlds. My parents had contrasting ways of living. One focused on structure, hard work, and grit. The other was guided by intuition, emotion, and ease. It was confusing at times, but it shaped how I see people. I learned how to hold both discipline and softness, and that is something I still bring into my work every day.

Even as a teenager, I knew I wanted more than what I saw around me. I craved warmth, movement, and different perspectives. I left Norway at a young age and spent several years living and working in the United States and abroad. Along the way, I became deeply curious about what it takes to feel seen, safe, and connected, and how much inner work that often requires.

Those early experiences shaped the foundation of how I show up as a counselor. I aim to be grounded, direct, emotionally present, and open to complexity.

My Role

I’m a mental health counselor with a master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Miami. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, cultural adjustment, chronic stress, and identity exploration.

I currently practice at My School Psychologist, Inc., where I provide therapy services both in-person and online.

My Philosophy

Therapy is not about fixing people. It’s about creating a space where insight, change, and healing can happen. I believe in being honest, curious, and grounded. Not overly clinical or detached. My job isn’t to lead the process for you. It’s to walk alongside you with respect and presence.

I take your story seriously, and I’m not afraid of complexity. Whether you're navigating burnout, conflict, anxiety, or just trying to understand yourself better, I’m here for the real stuff.
